1000 und eine Nacht
This here is for all you Germans and German lovers out there. This
section of my website is under the heading "Stories and Stuff," and this page
leans more towards the "Stuff" aspect. This is my favorite German song, and I
just wanted to post the lyrics. It's cheesy as hell, and the lyrics are usually
shouted out by drunk Germans at various beer festivals, but I still like the
song. It just has something that I can't explain; it somehow harnesses the
feeling that what he's singing about, we've all experienced as kids, or at least
wish we had. Plus, grammatically speaking, it's got that oh-so-sweet northern
German simple past tense. Anyhow, I present you "1000 und eine Nacht" by the
