Colorado Wedding Reception Photos

On December 29, 2007 Angela and I had a sort of wedding reception at my parents' house for all the people in the U.S. who weren't able to come to our wedding in Costa Rica. If you were there, there's a good chance that your picture is here. And if that's the case, sorry if I spelled your name wrong! Anyhow, I was looking through the pictures taken with my camera and with my brother Paul's camera, and I realized that in a couple hundred pictures, there wasn't a single one of Angela and I! The closest we got is a picture of Angela's hand, since she had a wrist corsage. So, that's why I put the picture of our dog, The Dog, above. No matter, though. You can always check out a few hundred pictures of our wedding on the "Wedding" pictures page.

Here I am shoveling snow. Or--let's be realistic--chopping ice with a shovel. Paul and I had to do this before the party, so I put up this picture to remind Angela that Colorado isn't all streets paved with gold. Bronze, maybe, but let's not get carried away here.

Anyhow, my sister Di, I believe it was, had the idea of having a "picture guest book," so as people entered the party, we took their pictures, and they wrote a little note for Angela and me. It was a really good idea, and the book turned out very nice. As an added bonus, you can now see a portrait of almost everyone who came to the party (my apologies if we didn't get a picture of you). So, here they are, roughly in the order the guests arrived:

My dad's uncle Allen, the first to arrive to the party.

My friend Mike Garrison, and his folks Steve and Janis Stroh.

My grandma Barbara.

My mom's sister Kathy, with her kids Katie (the one who towers over Kathy), Kiersten, and Brian, who, although he is between 10 and 15 years old (I only work with ranges when dealing with relatives' ages), has nevertheless apparently signed up for the Air Force since I last checked.

Mike, Bonnie, and Bev McBride, friends from church.

Sam and Dustin Colburn. Sorry Sam, I don't know if you've taken Dustin's name, but if you haven't yet, then I just gave it to you.

Dustin and Sam again, because they are photogenic.

Did I say "Photogenic"? I meant Beautygenic.

My buddy Chris Sawyer, whose last name is near impossible for Germans to pronounce correctly.

My dad's cousin Deenie Marsh.

Marilyn Ehn, another cousin of my dad.

David Runkles, a friend of my sister who likes coffee. So he's also a friend of mine.

My buddy Zach with his wife Arrin, brother Alec, and ma Jill.

Mary Ellen and Paul Moyer, friends and neighbors from down the street.

Pam and Gil Fisher, who need no introduction.

Casey DeBuse, a friend from way back.

Lyndel and Joan Saxbury, friends from the church.

Charley, a guy who works with my mom and helps me out with computer problems in exchange for coffee, and his family. His wife Grace with his daughters Isabel and Miranda.

Pat DeLaCastro, a friend of my parents.

Sandy Schlicht, who was our neighbor when I was growing up.

My cousin Tim from Florida and his girlfriend Kreisten.

My dad's aunt Dorothea.

My aunt Claudia and uncle Bob.

My aunt Joyce, all the way from Miami, Florida.

My cousin AnnaLisa and her husband Tim, with their baby, named "Baby."

Jayne Sears and Paula Matney, two friends from church.

Beth Nelson, a friend and teacher from the church, with The Dog.

The Sniders, our neighbors from across the street.

Jim and Allyson Schafer, long-time friends of the family.

Peggy and Gene Boling, more friends from the church.

Richie and Christa, two good friends who basically set me up with Angela, even though they didn't know it before.

Larry and Rose Beckman, neighbors from across the street.

Raleigh and Edith Brooks, friends from the church.

Marietta and Larry Rudolph, neighbors and friends. Marietta was actually my first grade teacher, and she has put up with me over the last two and a half decades!

Linda and Fred Azama, with Aunt Daisy, from my dad's side of the family.

Kate and Danny Young, two friends.

Connie and Bill Fisher, with their baby named "Baby" (which is apparently a popular baby name in Colorado these days). Although, to be fair, the Baby probably doesn't remember my name, either.

Mary Lacock, my journalism teacher from high school.

My aunt Mary and uncle Warren.

My dad's cousin Dave Kerbs with his wife Sue and Aunt Elsie.

Alicia (front), Cristi, and Cristi's fiance "Mike/Matt." Sorry, but for some reason, I just can't distinguish between those two names in my head. Mike/Matt, if you want, you can feel free to call me Ryan/Brian. But if I had to guess, I'd say "Mike."

Melissa, Craig, and Meghan Fisher.

My aunt Kris.

Frau McGrew and her son Aaron.

My friend Marie Drews.

The famous cards to sign for the guest book.

The fancy spread that my sister Di made for the party (The Dog wasn't on the menu).

Each of these desserts my sister made.

Angela's arm in the aforementioned corsage picture.

Craig carrying Meghan.

My sister's dog, The Other Dog.

Picking on The Other Dog is a favorite pastime at all Sitzman parties.

Casey, Dustin, and Sam.

My mom Phylis, otherwise known as "ma."

Bob and Dorothea.

Meghan getting acquainted with The Dog.

I didn't take this picture, but I believe that Meghan and The Other Dog are both begging for little pieces of cheese here.

I stand corrected; there were pictures of Angela and me. But I'm not about to scroll all the way to to the top of the page to change that previous statement.

Here Angela is teaching Meghan how to make her eyes shoot red lasers.

Dustin and Sam being beautiful, as always.

Bueno, again, if you were at the party but you weren't in these pictures, I apologized if I missed you. I guess you'll just have to send me a picture and I'll put it on.
